2/27: Consultants selected for City’s 2007-2012 Bond Program

The City of San Antonio has selected 198 different firms to serve as prime and sub-consultants in program management, and engineering, architecture, and landscape architecture design for the 2007-2012 Bond Program.

1/29: Council to hear progress report on bond program

City Council will hear a progress report on the $550 million Bond Program that San Antonio citizens approved last May during the Council’s B-Session,  scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, in the “B” Room of the Municipal Plaza Building. The Council will be briefed on the 151 projects that make up the largest bond program in the city’s history.

2/15: City unanimously calls for $550 million bond election

City Council today unanimously passed an ordinance calling for a $550 million bond election to be held on Saturday, May 12, 2007. The program focuses on basic infrastructure improvements and enhancements including streets, sidewalks, drainage, parks, athletic facilities and libraries.

1/30: City Council to hear $550 million in proposed bond project recommendations

City Council will be presented with recommendations for proposed 2007-2012 bond projects tomorrow during its scheduled informal “B” worksession. The session will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber and will be televised on TVSA, cable channel 21.

1/16: City meetings, events canceled due to weather conditions

Several City of San Antonio meetings and events have been cancelled today due to inclement weather conditions.

1/05: Community Bond Committee meetings resume

Beginning January 8, four Community Bond Committees will continue to consider projects proposed as part of the City’s 2007-2012 Bond Program. The committees were established to obtain community input and analyze potential projects to be included as part of the $550 million bond program set for voter consideration on May 12. Each of the committees met at least once in December before taking a break for the holidays.

12/4: Community Bond Committees seek input on proposed 2007-2012 bond program

Four Community Bond Committees have been created to obtain community input and analyze potential projects to be included as part of the City’s proposed 2007-2012 Bond Program scheduled for voter consideration on May 12, 2007. The bond program can be achieved without an increase in the City’s property tax rate.
