* * Five-year Strategic Plan *
It's a new day for companion animals in San Antonio!  Join Animal Care Services and its partners as we strive to provide every healthy and adoptable pet in this community hope for a "forever" home with responsible owners. That's the ultimate vision of a five-year strategic plan that would make San Antonio a "no kill" community by the year 2012.

The ACS Advisory Board has established the preliminary definition of “no kill” to mean that all healthy and/or treatable animals find a home and that the only animals euthanized are so sick or behaviorally impaired as to not be adoptable.

We all have to play a role in making this strategic plan a success.
San Antonio's animal overpopulation issue is a community challenge that requires community solutions.  Learn more...
