The Administrative and Financial Services Division of the City Attorney's Office is located at City Hall and is led by Deputy City Attorney Bernadette McKay.
This division provides legal advice and services to the City Auditor's Office; Finance Department, including the Accounting, Financial Management, and Revenue Divisions, as well as Risk Management (Workers' Compensation / Liability / Safety); the Fire Department, including Fire Prevention, Administrative Services, Emergency Services and Support Services Divisions; Fleet Services Division of the Building and Equipment Services Department; the Human Resources Department, including the Classification and Compensation, Customer Services & Communications, Employee Benefits, Employee Relations, Recruitment, and Training Divisions, and the Office of Municipal Integrity; the Office of Management & Budget, including the Innovation Division; the Police Department, including Patrol, Operations Support and Administration; the Purchasing and General Services Division of the Finance Department; and Information Technology Services Department, including Applications, Infrastructure and Public Safety Technology Divisions. The Administrative and Financial Services Division also handles police and fire matters before the Fire and Police Civil Service Commission, and all boards, commissions and committees staffed by these Departments and Divisions.
