MC DONALD'S OWNER AND OPERATOR
Ned Stagg is the owner operator of 34 McDonald’s restaurants in the San Antonio area. It is an organization that employs more than 1,500 people with revenues exceeding $90 million annually. Ned was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, where he graduated from Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School in 1975. He relocated to Austin where he earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from University of Texas in 1979. Immediately following graduation, Ned began his career in Houston with CGG, a fully integrated geoscience company, primarily serving the global oil and gas industry. He continued along that career path for 13 years rising from an entry level to supervisor position. In 1992, Ned enrolled in the McDonald’s Registered Applicant Program and was approved to become an owner operator.
In April of 1994, he and his wife, Fabiola Stagg, moved to San Antonio to open their first McDonald’s restaurant on Broadway at Loop 410. Over the next 19 years, as the business grew, so did their family. Ned and Fabiola were blessed with three lovely children and their business grew from one to 34 McDonald’s restaurants in San Antonio and the surrounding areas making Stagg Restaurants, LLC the largest McDonald’s franchise in San Antonio. Ned is an active leader in the community and is committed to numerous charity events and community projects.
In 2001, he initiated the Good Friday Fundraiser for the 100 Club of San Antonio. The program has grown to more than 90 McDonald’s restaurants participating in the fundraising efforts, not only in San Antonio, but in neighboring communities such as New Braunfels, Bulverde, Boerne, Comfort and Seguin. In 2013, local McDonald’s restaurants donated more than $26,000 to the 100 Club of Bexar County benefiting families of fallen first responders. To date, Stagg Restaurants has donated more than $1.4 million to local schools and organizations in the greater San Antonio area.
Stagg serves on the Greater San Antonio McDonald’s Owners Association Public Relations, People, Marketing, and Ronald Committees and was the founding president of the local chapter for the National Black McDonald’s Operators Association. Ned and Stagg Restaurants, LLC are the recipients of numerous prestigious awards including the McDonald’s Houston Region National Sales Champions (2012), Pioneer Award (2002, 2010, 2011), Brand Champion Award (2011), King & Queen of Service (2008, 2010, 2011), Super Saturday Rock Star (2009), Customer Satisfaction (2009), NBMOA Outstanding Business Results (2007), Street Fighter Award (1998, 2006), Outstanding Achievement (2010), People First Award, 22 Outstanding Restaurant Awards, and five Ray Kroc General Manager Awards (2006-2010). Ned is recognized as an entrepreneur with proven sales results who reinvests in the local economy and as a community leader through his philanthropy efforts.
