SAN ANTONIO (March 27, 2018) – To better assist passport applicants during this travel season; the Passport Division will be open on Good Friday, March 30, 2018 and also provides extended office hours every Wednesday. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., and on Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Passport photos are offered at an additional cost.
The U.S. Department of State recently announced that the passport “execution fee” at all Passport Acceptance Facilities will increase from $25 to $35 effective Monday, April 2, 2018.
The Office of the City Clerk Passport Division is located at 719 S. Santa Rosa Street, San Antonio, TX 78204 and can assist in processing your passport application locally.
In order to apply for a U.S. Passport, all applicants must submit their U.S. Birth Certificate. “For added customer convenience, the Office of the City Clerk Vital Records Division is located at the same address, offers free parking, and can issue birth certificates to qualified customers born in San Antonio,” said Leticia Vacek, City Clerk. Office hours for the Vital Records Division are Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
