Mayor Julián Castro unveiled designs for two new education centers on the East and West sides of San Antonio for the 2014-2015 school year. He discussed the enrollment periods for all four centers, including the Pre-K 4 SA South and North Education Centers that opened last fall.
“These four centers will be strategically located throughout the city so that they are accessible to any parent of a four-year-old who wants their child to get a great start on their education,” Mayor Castro said.
Pre-K 4 SA education centers will be located in the four quadrants of the city. At full enrollment this fall, the four centers combined will educate 1,500 children. The Centers will serve as a resource and provide professional development and training to other Pre-K teachers, teacher aides, providers and education leaders throughout the city. They also will boast a robust parent support component, bringing students, teachers and parents together to provide the utmost support for their success in the program.
“We’re excited to offer another class of students the opportunity for a quality pre-k education in the 2014-2015 year,” said Pre-K 4 SA CEO Kathleen Bruck. “Educating four-year-old students in a top-notch facility with exceptional resources and master teachers is certain to yield further success for the future of our students and our city.”
Application fairs for the four centers begin Feb. 24, 2014 at various locations. Parents can complete an application for the 2014-2015 school year at www.sanantonio.gov/prek/enrollment, via phone at (210) 206-PREK (7735), or in person at an upcoming application fair.
