SAN ANTONIO (Aug. 14, 2014) – Houston Street from AT&T Center Parkway to Commerce Street will be detoured beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday. It will reopen at approximately 7 a.m. on Sunday morning. Construction crews will install a sanitary sewer crossing.
All businesses will remain accessible through Commerce Street. Drivers will use Coca-Cola Drive and Commerce Street as a detour route. AT&T Center Parkway will remain open and drivers headed south on the parkway will be able to turn right onto Houston Street.
The Houston Street project will use approximately $10 million to reconstruct Houston Street from AT&T Center Parkway to Commerce Street. The bridge over Salado Creek will be raised and new traffic signals and sidewalks will be installed.
