DSD academy

We recognize the importance of industry-related certifications and continuing education for professionals in our industry. That is why we make professional development an essential part of our business. Our Training Manager works closely with various professionals in the industry to offer educational training support for our staff as well our customers/community. Our training programs focus on those seeking to extend their knowledge base, continuing education and certification.

For more information on training please refer to the DSD Training Handbook, email the Training Manager or call 210.207.8219.

Partnering with our community to build and maintain a safer San Antonio is a mission that we take seriously and are always looking for new and innovative ways in which to accomplish our goals. As part of our efforts to increase and improve our partnership with our community, we’ve started a DSD Academy to help residents understand the various aspects of development, including zoning, platting, permits, inspections, code enforcement and graffiti. DSD Academy will have a session every month, each on a different topic.

The next DSD Academy session is scheduled for January 20, 2018 on 'How and When to get Permits for Work in your Home'.  The Permitting Team will answer some of the most frequently asked questions and address your concerns.

This session will be presented on Saturday, Jan 20  from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Board Room inside the Cliff Morton Development & Business Services Center located at 1901 S. Alamo.

For more information contact Ximena Copa-Wiggins at Ximena.Copa-Wiggins@sanantonio.gov or at 210.207.0221.
