Councilwoman Leticia Ozuna will lead a Town Hall meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Mission Branch Library, 3134 Roosevelt Avenue. The purpose of the meeting, the third in a series, is to finalize a list of constructive priorities and action steps to improve public safety in the Roosevelt Avenue/South Presa corridor.
“Together, and only together, can we move beyond the challenges of the area’s past in order to realize its potential for a bright future,” said Councilwoman Ozuna. “I look forward to meeting with community members to make this happen on Oct. 25 and in follow-up meetings next year.”
In addition to Councilwoman Ozuna, members of the San Antonio Police Department, Code Enforcement and other agencies will be present, along with many local business owners and concerned residents.
“Moving forward in our effort to prevent criminal activity in our neighborhoods, we embrace the partnership we’ve established on the Southside,” said San Antonio Police Chief William McManus. “A strategic community-based approach which addresses the fundamental causes of crime is essential to our success.”
