As part of the Graffiti Ranger Volunteer Program, the City of San Antonio's Code Enforcement Division has acquired two volunteer vehicles that will offer volunteers greater flexibility to plan and complete volunteer projects throughout the city. Each vehicle features a brightly colored wrap to alert the community of the volunteer efforts and to encourage citizens interested in learning more about the program to contact City staff. Each vehicle will be stocked daily with the necessary equipment and supplies to proactively abate graffiti.
The vehicles will also serve as a marketing tool that will be displayed at various community events, fairs and City-sponsored events to recruit potential volunteers and educate residents on the many volunteer opportunities that exist through the Graffiti Abatement Program.
Graffiti Ranger volunteers qualify to utilize the City vehicles upon the successful completion of training which includes a background check and a City-sanctioned defensive driving course. Citizens interested in learning more about the Graffiti Ranger Program can contact Joe Frank Picazo, Volunteer Services Coordinator, at (210) 207-5421.
