Notice anything different about Dot Gov? The website for Dot Gov, the City of San Antonio’s online community newsletter, has a sleek new look and is more user-friendly.
The City has launched a complete website redesign of Dot Gov, www.sanantonio.gov/dotgov, which provides a fundamental reimagining of the site as a provider of information for residents about the City and its departments. Through a complete overhaul of its front-end look, the website now offers a design that is more modern with vibrant colors that mimic the city.
The “feature” stories are now prominently displayed on the homepage with the use of large and colorful banner graphics. Dot Gov still has an ETC section, however it has been renamed to What’s New and offers users an organized view of each story. An archive section allows users to find past Dot Gov editions going back two years, an option that is new to users thanks to the redesign. Users also are able to share Dot Gov stories via Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus.
The new Dot Gov website launched on April 1, 2013.
