The City of San Antonio seeks community input as it begins developing the budget for the 2014 Fiscal Year (FY 2014). Residents are encouraged to provide ideas and suggestions through the Budget Input Box and the City’s website, and by participating in the Community Budget Input Meetings which begin in June.
Suggestions and ideas for the City’s budget or on how to improve service delivery, may be submitted in English or Spanish to the Budget Input Box.
Budget Input Boxes can be found in all City facilities, such as libraries and Community Link Centers, or at sanantonio.gov/budget. Additionally, beginning this year, there will be posters displayed with QR codes in libraries, Community Centers, and other City facilities, that can be scanned with a smartphone, and community members can provide their ideas directly from their Apple or Android mobile devices.
All of the suggestions that fall within the scope of the services the City provides will be reviewed and considered by City staff for inclusion in the FY 2014 budget which will be proposed to City Council in August. The Budget Input Box is available to citizens year-round.
The City will be hosting five Community Budget Meetings to seek residents’ input on City services and programs. Community Budget Meetings will take place during the weeks of June 10 and June 17, 2013.
