In cooperation with District 3 City Councilwoman Leticia Ozuna, Foresight Golf is donating a golf cart to the Southside Little Cowboys at 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30, at the football league's field, 4001 Roosevelt (across from Harlandale Memorial Stadium).
"We are proud to contribute to Southside Little Cowboys, given the tremendous impact the organization has on this community," said Dan Pedrotti, President of Foresight Golf, Developer of The Valor Club and Owner of The Republic Golf Club. "The group encourages the best in our youth, on and off the field, and is certainly worthy of such support."
Part of the Pop Warner Association, Southside Little Cowboys includes about 80 players, ages 5-12. The players are supported by 15 coaches and assistants, as well as 10 team mothers. The group also includes 20 cheerleaders, ages 5-12, and their six adult coaches. The organization was started 52 years ago and is now led by Michael Harrell.
"The golf cart will help us in many ways at the games and practices," said Albert Ariaga, athletic director of Southside Little Cowboys. "For instance, it will help us change the yardage information and scores on both sides of the field, and we can use it to bring water and ice to the players. Of course, if needed, we will use the golf cart to move injured athletes."
Councilwoman Ozuna, like the constituents of District 3, is very grateful for Foresight's donation to Southside Little Cowboys. "I thank Dan Pedrotti and Foresight for working with us to make such a valuable contribution to an organization that is incredibly beneficial to both the Southside and San Antonio."
