The City of San Antonio’s Development Services Department (DSD) has introduced a new customer service enhancement called the Customer Alert System. The new feature alerts customers by e-mail when permit activity has been performed, keeping residents informed throughout the entire permit process.
Customers will receive e-mail notification when any permit activity has been completed including:
- sanantonio.gov/dsdPlan Review
- Utility Released
- Re-Inspections Fees Owed
- Temporary/Final Certificate of Occupancy
Alerts are also available on child permits
Each alert will report the outcome of that process along with additional information.
In order to receive alerts, customers must be registered with DSD as a “contact” and have a valid e-mail address. Existing customers who do not have a valid e-mail address registered with DSD will need to log into Customer Alert System to activate their profile. The action of logging into the system will build the initial profile.
New Customers will automatically be enrolled when they register for their permit through DynamicPortal.
Once enrolled, customers will receive all alert types. To manage the alerts or stop a specific notification, customers can log into Customer Alert System and turn off the alert type they no longer want to receive.
