On June 10, traffic on Woodlawn Avenue between Wilson Boulevard and Lake Boulevard was detoured as part of the Seeling Channel Phase I Drainage Project. The detour will remain in place for approximately 10 months and will allow construction to finish an estimated 11 months ahead of schedule.
East and west bound traffic was diverted one block north to W. Mistletoe Avenue. Access to southbound Josephine Tobin Avenue at Woodlawn and Lake will remain open. Alternate access to Woodlawn Lake Park is available through Cincinnati Avenue and Alexander Avenue. The Seeling Channel Phase I Drainage Project is reconstructing Seeling Channel from Woodlawn Lake to Wilson Boulevard. The improvements will enhance drainage and minimize flooding.
