Public Notice

The second of two public hearings will take place beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014 in the City Council Chamber, Municipal Plaza Building. This will be the first of two U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development required city-wide public hearings for the City’s Consolidated Annual Action Plan/Budget process for the Fiscal Year 2014-2015 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG – 40th Year), Home Investment Partnership Grant (HOME – 23rd Year), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs.

A copy of the proposed Action Plan and Budget is currently available for review and comment on the City’s website www.sanantonio.gov/gma through the date of the public hearing. This information also will be available for review and comment at the Department of Planning and Community Development located at 1400 S. Flores, Unit 3. Copies will also be located at the Department of Human Services located at 106 South St. Mary’s Street, 7th Floor and the Central Library located at 600 Soledad.

Citizens wishing to speak at the public hearing may individually sign the appropriate sign-in sheet for that purpose which will be provided at the entrance of the City Council Chambers prior to 9 a.m. the day of the hearing. Each citizen will have three minutes to speak on one or multiple agenda items. Groups consisting of three or more citizens will be allotted nine minutes total to address the council on any one item.

This meeting site is wheelchair accessible. The accessible entrance is located at the Municipal Plaza Building/Main Plaza entrance. Accessible visitor parking spaces are located at City Hall, 100 Military Plaza, North side. Auxiliary aids and services, including Deaf interpreters, must be requested forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting. Close captioning is available on broadcasts of the Council Meeting on cable channel 21-TVSA.
