Renovation of Cody Branch, under 1989 bond election funding, began in May of 1998 and the branch was re-opened on August 23, 1999.  Additional land for renovation was donated again by the Northside School District.  The branch was expanded over 3,000 square feet with a new meeting room and study room added and general renovation of the branch with a new roof and expanded HVAC system.
