Book Cellar | Treasures in the Cellar | Price List | Friends Sales
Book sales are the main source of income for the Friends, and the profits are donated to support San Antonio Public Library activities and materials. The Book Cellar is managed by a salaried employee of the Friends and staffed by volunteers from Friends of the San Antonio Public Library. All categories of fiction and non-fiction for adults and children are available. The stock comes from books withdrawn from the library system and donations. Most books sell for 25 cents to $1.00. The selection includes novels, mysteries, romance, science fiction, westerns, large print, nonfiction of all types, encyclopedias, dictionaries, cookbooks, and specially priced rare and collectible books. For children and young adults, there are easy readers, fiction, nonfiction, encyclopedias and study guides. Books in Spanish and other languages are available. The store also sells magazines, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, audio tapes, including books on tape, and vinyl records. The Book Cellar is open every day Central Library is open. Hours of operation are posted at the top of this page. Vending
