What:	Carver Branch Library to close for renovations

The Board of Trustees of the San Antonio Public Library has announced that the Carver Branch Library, 3350 E. Commerce, will close on Monday, April 2, for scheduled renovations. The branch is expected to reopen in early summer.

The project, which is funded by the 2003 City bond initiative, will include replacement of the building’s air conditioning system and roof; repairs to the parking lot, masonry, doors and frames; installation of ADA-compliant elements; replacement of current lighting with energy-efficient fixtures; and upgrades to the fire and security alarm systems.

A San Antonio Public Library card may be used at any San Antonio Public Library location, and library patrons who have checked out items from the Carver Branch Library may return them to any other San Antonio Public Library location. The libraries closest to the Carver Branch are:
