The Office of the City Clerk offers two locations for processing passport applications:
We do not schedule appointments, walk-ins are welcome. The following items are required when you apply for a passport:
*** If you were 16 years or older when your passport was issued, you may provide the expired passport as proof of citizenship. If you were 15 years and younger when your passport was issued, you must provide your Long Form Birth Certificate as proof of citizenship.
California and Texas Abstract Birth Certificates cannot be used to apply for a passport at any age
Acceptable Payment Options: Two payments are required and must be separate to the State and City.
First time traveling overseas, or just preparing for a possible trip? Find out more informtation from the National Passport Information Center. Standard service is 4-6 weeks to receive your passport from the U.S. Department of State. You may pay the additional expedited fee and receive the passport within 2-3 weeks.
