(San Antonio, TX – March 7, 2017) The San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department encourages the community to be active during Spring Break by taking a dip in the San Antonio Natatorium indoor heated pool. Admission to the Natatorium is free to the community from noon to 3 p.m., Monday, March 13 through Friday, March. 17. Open swim is available for all ages during this time. Daily activities will be available for youth ages 14 and under during the designated time. The activities include:
- Monday – basic swim lessons
- Tuesday – swim technique clinic
- Wednesday – junior lifeguard exploration
- Thursday – diving instruction
- Friday – water sports
Lifeguards will be on duty to ensure visitor safety. Participants must wear proper swim attire (no denim please). Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The San Antonio Natatorium is located at 1430 W. Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard.
The San Antonio Natatorium schedule for the week of Spring Break will also provide free senior swim from 10 to 11 a.m. Regular entry fees for adult and open swim are $2 for children, $3 for seniors, 60 and up, and $4 for adults, ages 18 to 59. Adult lap swimming is offered from 11 a.m. to noon and from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. Open swim for all ages is from 3 to 6:45 p.m.
