SAN ANTONIO (September 22, 2017)- San Antonio residents can now stay connected to the Internet from their laptop, smartphone, tablet and other mobile devices while spending time outdoors in Cuellar Park.
In celebration of the new amenity, the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department and District 6 Councilman, Greg Brockhouse, will host a community event tomorrow, September 23, at the Cuellar Community Center, 5626 San Fernando from 10 a.m. to noon. The Technology in the Park interactive event will include activities designed to engage parents and kids in fun ways to learn and play with today’s technology.
WI-Fi in the Parks is part of the City of San Antonio SmartSA initiative. Cuellar Park is one of 10 Parks to add Wi-Fi this year bringing the total number of parks to 22. The Wi-Fi in the Parks initiative is designed to improve digital access, which will enhance the way residents use community spaces and interact with the environment.
