City officials and area residents celebrated the grand reopening of Normoyle Community Center on October 21, 2015. The center is now a multi-generational facility that provides senior services and recreational programming for all ages.
The $1.75 million Normoyle Community Center renovation and $500,000 park improvement project were part of Council District 5 overall $52 million 2012-2017 bond improvements package aimed at providing enhanced recreation and wellness activity programs for community senior citizens and youth.
Recreation programming at the center offered by the Parks and Recreation Department includes a gamut of activities for all ages. Hours of operation are:
Hours of Operation: Monday - Thursday, 2 - 9 p.m.; Friday, 2 - 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
