The Mayor’s Task Force on Preserving Dynamic and Diverse Neighborhoods will be hosting three community forums this month. Citizens are encouraged to attend and provide feedback on the short and long-term draft recommendations developed by the Task Force. The recommendations focus on providing tools and policies to track neighborhood change, mitigate the negative impacts of development on vulnerable residents, and encourage diversity in neighborhoods.
In order to maximize community input, there will be two Town Hall meetings and one Open House. Town Hall meetings will include a presentation and a Question and Answer session. The Open House will provide the opportunity for one-on-one interaction with the various task force members. Community feedback will be gathered and presented to the full task force for consideration as they finalize their recommendations that will be presented to the City Council at a B Session in April. The next Mayor’s Task Force meeting is scheduled for April 9th in the Media Briefing Room at 1:30 p.m.
