Competitive Grant Awards

Pre-K 4 SA offers Competitive Grants to improve the quality of early childhood education and increase access to high-quality pre-kindergarten programs to four-year-olds across San Antonio. Grants are available to three categories of education providers:

1) public/charter schools;

2) private/parochial schools; and

3) child development centers.

The first round of grants were awarded in April 2016 for the 2016-17 school year. After successfully implementing their plans and completing a year one evaluation, all of the Pre-K 4 SA grant recipients were renewed for a second year of funding for the 2017-18 school year.
