The City of San Antonio is seeking applicants for the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones (TIRZ) Board #32 – Mission Drive-In.
The TIRZ boundary, located in City Council District 3, consists of approximately 1,922 parcel acres located south of the central business district primarily along the Roosevelt Corridor extending from US Highway 90 on the north to Loop 410 on the south. To be eligible for appointment to the board, in accordance with Chapter 311 of the Texas State Property Tax Code, individuals must meet the following criteria: (1) be a qualified voter of the municipality; or (2) be at least 18 years of age and own real property in the zone or (3) be at least 18 years of age and an employee of a person that owns real property in the zone or (4) be at least 18 years of age and an agent of a person that owns real property in the zones. Currently all board members are appointed by the City Council, for two-year terms. The board elects a Presiding Officer for a one-year term, effective upon election.
