No, but there is a building maintenance line item assessed monthly to most City departments in the same way that the IT assessment fee is applied. Building Maintenance Line Item is charged monthly to core departments. Contact your Fiscal Manager for details.
Q: Do you provide portable heaters or fans for individual offices?

No, and personal heaters are not allowed due to the increased loads that are placed on the electrical system.
Q: Do you perform work in leased buildings?
A:
Only if the lease specifically states that the City is responsible for performing repairs / maintenance on systems or equipment.
Q: Do you perform new construction in City Facilities?
A:
When the building, equipment, or systems will be impacted, the request is forwarded to the CIMS Department who will require a Job Authorization Form be submitted to have the work evaluated. Normally an engineer is contacted to design the job, and the work is outsourced unless it is minor renovation work that City staff can perform.
Q: Do you hang pictures, dry erase boards, etc., and move furniture?

No to hanging pictures and moving furniture, but yes to dry erase boards (unless the request is from the Mayor, City Manager, or Executive Leadership Team).
Q: Do you dispose of City property no longer usable or wanted by a department?
A:
No, but there is a section within the Procurement Division that provides the dispersement of City property.
