The San Antonio Police Department is always searching for individuals with the
same worldwide passion for service as the fine men and women who have
honorably served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Since this occupation is considered
to be a natural fit for most service men and women, after completing their
obligation with the U.S. Armed Forces, many later become excellent candidates
for civilian law enforcement service. Giving skilled veterans the opportunity
to continue serving our community not only serves as a great way to assist the
veteran in career transition, but also brings world experiences that enhance the
quality of our community policing efforts. The San Antonio Police Department
has recognized your skills to be a vital part of our effort; as such we welcome
the opportunity to participate in military-sponsored programs that facilitate
your transition period.
