How can I get a pass to go beyond the TSA Security Checkpoint to meet a passenger at the gate?

You must coordinate this request through the servicing airline.

How far in advance should I arrive at the airport prior to my flight departure time?

Passengers are advised to arrive at least 2 hours in advance for flights departing prior to 7:30am and 1 ½ hours in advance for flights departing after 7:30am.

What time does the airline ticket counters open?

Airline ticket counters open at various times based on their first flight. Contact your airline for their ticket counter opening time.

What time does the airport open?

The San Antonio International Airport is a 24 hour facility. However, the TSA Checkpoints do not open until 4:30 am.

What are the parking rates at the Airport?

Long Term Parking Rates are $11.00 per day.
Hourly Parking Rates are $24.00 per day.

What items can I take on the airplane?

Can I get Wheelchair assistance?  Yes, please contact your Airline to schedule assistance at no charge. To request wheelchair assistance after hours or for immediate needs, contact International Ram for Southwest Airlines passengers at 210-867-5946, and for all other Airlines contact Prime Flight Services at 210-389-1317.

Lost my ID or have a temporary – how do I get through check point?

If you lose your ID before boarding a domestic flight, you will still be able to travel on your flight.  Show up early for your flight to allow extra time, and explain your situation to the TSA agent at the security checkpoint. They will have you fill out some paperwork, and then you may be subject to additional interviews and search / screening. Bring any identification that you do have.

What are all the ways/options/prices that I can use to get downtown?

How do I meet my minor child or elderly passenger at the gate if I do not have ticket?

You may request a gate pass from your airline.

Is smoking available inside the Terminals?

Smoking is not allowed in the airport but there are designated areas outside the airport.
