Transportation & Capital Improvements is responsible for maintaining our City’s storm water drainage system and engineering improvement projects to help reduce flooding during rain events. These efforts include maintaining drainage infrastructure such as: maintaining natural and concrete-lined channels, channel concrete repair, street sweeping and sidewalk cleaning in the Downtown area, and Right of Way and median vegetation maintenance. We also review residential and commercial storm water development plans to ensure future construction projects and private development do not adversely impact current drainage systems.
