Celebrate Preservation Month 2017 at your San Antonio Missions World Heritage Site, where connecting with the history and heritage of our region is not only possible, it’s important. It’s imperative. It’s easier than ever with VIA Metropolitan Transit’s VIVA Missions route.
The Professional Tour Guide Association of San Antonio will have a tour guide on each VIA VIVA Route 40 bus providing information along the route.
Winning artwork selected as part of VIA's 22nd Annual Youth Art Contest will also be on display at each of the Missions.
This unique event is organized by VIA Metropolitan Transit, Professional Tour Guide Association of San Antonio, San Antonio Missions National Historic Park, The Alamo, and City of San Antonio World Heritage Office.

Explore the Missions on VIA Metropolitan Transit’s new VIVA Missions route (40). Enjoy a complimentary guided tour, led by the Professional Tour Guide Association of San Antonio, when you purchase your trip on VIVA. Receive free Mission Possible passports to get stamped at each mission as well as valuable coupons for you to use on the 20th.

While at the Missions, enjoy a unique student art display from VIA’s student art display from VIA’s 22nd Annual Youth Art Contest, themed “eXplore … Plan your next adventure on VIA.”
Also this will be the only date until Espada Road construction is completed that you can ride VIA VIVA to all five missions. VIA will provide a loop service from Mission San Juan to Mission Espada for the day during event hours.
