of an introduction to the missions, goals and
works of the US Access Board and a discussion of
the current regulations, designs and place of
pedestrians in
America
.
Ms. Thibault has been with the US Access
Board since 1992. She joined to direct its
training activities, taking on the Board’s
research program in 1998. With the Access Board,
she leads in agency rulemaking, works on the
Public Rights-of-Way, develops advisory material
on ADAAG provisions, provides technical
assistance to public and private entities and
conducts training. In 1999 she authored
‘Accessible Rights-of-Way’, a design guide
for pedestrian facility accessibility.
