A friendly wagging tail. A gentle head rub and a rumbling purr. A warm lick on your hand. Pets bring so much to our lives and ask so little in return. An innovative new program from Animal Care Services gives you an opportunity to give back to our community’s companion animals. The ACS Guardian Angels program provides temporary loving homes for healthy, friendly dogs and cats who need a little time and a lot of love to become perfect pets!

It’s a program with a big goal and an even bigger heart!

ACS Guardian Angels do more than watch over the shelter’s adoptable pets—they can help find their foster’s forever homes by showing them off at adoption events held throughout the community. The ACS Guardian Angels help the shelter maximize the number of animals adopted and rescued and fostering can last for a few days or a few months. All veterinary care is provided by Animal Care Services and food and litter may be provided as well. Will you be a Guardian Angel for a pet in need?
