The Animal Care Services Advisory Board is composed of eleven (11) members appointed by the City Council for two-year terms. The Board shall include among its membership at least one licensed veterinarian, one city official, one animal shelter operator and one representative from an animal welfare organization. The Board visits the Animal Care Services facility of the City at times selected by said Board, and inspects all phases of the operation. The Board submits quarterly reports to the City Council, through the City Manager, concerning the operation of the Animal Care Services facility and the Animal Care program.
