Unwanted Dogs
Maddie's Fund is a national initiative that provides funding to communities to lower the numbers of unwanted pets.
  • It provides incentives for Medicaid eligible populations to get free spay/neuter services from a participating veterinarian.
  • It encourages rescue organizations to obtain transfer of animals from their local municipal shelters. It pays for the sterilization of these animals.
  • This initiative will decrease the numbers of animals that are euthanized at ACS on a year-to-year basis.
