In November 2003, over 500 members of the San Antonio creative economy attended the “Finding Ways” conference with keynote speaker Richard Florida. The conference helped shape San Antonio’s Cultural Plan, The Cultural Collaborative (TCC) that was adopted by City Council in 2005.

This year, please join us on Wednesday, November 7, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm as the creative business community assembles to be inspired and create ways for the future of San Antonio’s creative economy.

Highlights include:

  • Talks by Lionel Sosa and Sir Ken Robinson on key creative economy issue
  • Breakout sessions with local experts
  • Performances and film screening
  • Meals and networking
  • Launch of a new city-wide arts marketing campaign
  • Creative Exchange (see sidebar)
  • State-level advocacy
  • And an update on The Cultural Collaborative, a Plan for San Antonio’s Creative Economy

Creating Ways is open to members of San Antonio’s creative economy with advance registration and is free of charge. The conference is presented by the City of San Antonio’s Office of Cultural Affairs and the Economic Development Department.
