A Puerto Rican folk dance group was founded in 1992 by Olga Custodio, and become the Ballet Folklórico Borikén in 1995. The group presents the culture of the island of Puerto Rico through folk dances and music. It strives to maintain roots outside the island and to send a message of pride and respect for the heritage and culture of Puerto Rican to those now established in Texas.
