CineFestival is the nation's first and longest running
international film and video festival bringing cutting
edge Chicano, Latino, independent and Hollywood films
to San Antonio. The festival usually runs the last two
weeks in January. Event sponsored by the Guadalupe Cultural
Arts Organization.

The Other America is an international film festival
committed to showcasing work produced by and centered
around people that, by virtue of race, color, class,
gender, sexuality, and political beliefs, have been
continuously excluded from the eyes of Hollywood, and
therefore from mainstream American culture. People of
color, women, queers, people with disabilities, the
poor and working classes, youth and the elderly, community
activists -- these are the people who inhabit and comprise
an "other" America.
