Prosecution Division
The Prosecution Division of the City Attorney's Office is led by Deputy City Attorney Jose Nino. This division is located in the Frank D. Wing facility at 401 South Frio St. and is responsible for prosecuting misdemeanor offenses in Municipal Court, including code compliance violations, truancy cases, traffic offenses, and certain juvenile and family violence offenses. Attorneys in the division also file civil lawsuits to protect the public from the dangers posed by common and public nuisances. Lawyers work closely with the Police and Fire department and Inspectors from code compliance, building, animal control and the health department to enforce the City's regulations and make the City a safer, cleaner community.
