Training Available Upon Request.
The City Attorney’s Office will provide ethics code training to any city department or group of city employees upon request. Contact Helen Valkavich in the City Attorney’s Office at 207-8940 or at helenv@sanantonio.gov for more information or to schedule a presentation.
Mandatory Employee Orientation
The City Attorney’s Office presents an overview of the Ethics Code each month at the mandatory employee orientation. Mandatory orientation is usually held the first and third Wednesday of each month. Please contact the Department of Human Resources for information.
Training
The City Attorney’s Office offers an in-depth review of the City’s Ethics Code, including standards of conduct required for all City officials and employees, financial disclosure requirements, and procedures for seeking advisory opinions from the City Attorney’s Office. This course also includes a discussion applying the Ethics Code to real-life situations. Course participants are encouraged to prepare questions based on concerns arising from their individual experiences or observations.
