San Antonio to Monterrey

On July 9, 2009, AeroMexico is re-establishing non-stop service between San Antonio and Monterrey, Mexico.  AeroMexico will offer four weekly, non-stop flights.  Flights will depart San Antonio at 1:35 p.m. CDT and arrive in Monterrey at 2:35 p.m. CDT on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday and returning flights will depart at 11:45 p.m. and arrive in San Antonio at 12:50 p.m. on same days. 

AeroMexico and its AeroMexico Connect subsidiary currently operate more that 600 daily flights to destinations in Mexico, United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia.  For more information, please visit aeromexico.com.

New Aviation Director

City Manager Sheryl Sculley announced on April 21st the appointment of Mr. Frank Miller as Aviation Director for the City of San Antonio. Mr. Miller has been serving as the Airport Director for the Pensacola Regional Airport in Pensacola, Florida for the past 22 years. He has also served as the Airport Manager for the Walker Field Airport Authority in Grand Junction, Colorado, as well as the Airport Manager for the City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska.

Mr. Miller earned a Bachelor ’ s Degree in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University. He is currently the Second Vice President for Airports Council International (ACI) - North America and has served twice on ACI ’ s Board of Directors. He currently serves on the ACI – World Governing Board. Mr. Miller is Past President for the American Association of Airport Executives, Southeast Chapter. He was awarded the Federal Aviation Administration ’ s Southern Region Commercial Service Airport Manager of the Year in 2006.

“ Mr. Miller begins May 18th and will bring to the San Antonio Airport System a very strong background in airport operations, construction, and revenue enhancement, as well as community involvement, ” said Ms. Sculley.
