Airport Art Spaces & Rotating Artistic Exhibitions

BACKGROUND

The San Antonio International Airport has located in each of its terminals designated art exhibit areas.  Under the ?Airport Art Space? program three to four annual exhibits are sponsored annually by the City of San Antonio?s Aviation Department for the enjoyment of the traveling public.  The exhibits provide airport patrons an opportunity to learn more about and appreciate San Antonio and its unique South Texas culture and events.

The Airport Art Space exhibitions encompass a ?full compliment? of works and subject matter communicated through various types of mediums.  Exhibit areas are located in the Airport Art Spaces at the San Antonio International Airport, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.  The exhibition periods usually run from approximately June through August, September through November, December through February and March through May.
