Officials at San Antonio International Airport (SAT) are offering tips to better serve you in your use of the Airport facilities.  As a result of heightened security measures imposed by the Transportation Security Administration, San Antonio International recommends the following:

  • When driving to the airport, patrons should arrive 2 hours prior to their scheduled departure time, especially if you are planning to use one of the parking lots.
  • Only immediate drop-off and pick-up of passengers will be permitted at terminal curbside locations.
  • Prior to arriving at the Airport, travelers should check with the airlines or their travel agent to confirm there has not been any last-minute changes in travel itineraries.
  • Be prepared to present a photo identification to airline personnel upon check in.
  • Airline officials recommend placing ID tags on both the outside and inside of each piece of luggage.  There are complimentary ID tags are available at the airline ticket counters.
  • Travelers should be prepared to have their bags searched so expect delays at the Airport security checkpoints.
  • No knives, scissors, sharp instruments or any kind of object that could be considered a weapon are allowed through the security checkpoints.
  • For more Airport information, travelers may call San Antonio International Airport Paging and Information at 207-3411.
