Officials at San Antonio International Airport (SAT) are offering tips to better serve you in your use of the Airport facilities. As a result of heightened security measures imposed by the Transportation Security Administration, San Antonio International recommends the following:

When driving to the airport, patrons should arrive 2 hours prior to their scheduled departure time, especially if you are planning to use one of the parking lots.

Only immediate drop-off and pick-up of passengers will be permitted at terminal curbside locations.

Prior to arriving at the Airport, travelers should check with the airlines or their travel agent to confirm there has not been any last-minute changes in travel itineraries.

Be prepared to present a photo identification to airline personnel upon check in.

Airline officials recommend placing ID tags on both the outside and inside of each piece of luggage. There are complimentary ID tags are available at the airline ticket counters.

Travelers should be prepared to have their bags searched so expect delays at the Airport security checkpoints.

No knives, scissors, sharp instruments or any kind of object that could be considered a weapon are allowed through the security checkpoints.
