Bulky Item Collection

Do you want to dispose of the old sofa or refrigerator gathering dust in your garage? Residents receive one curbside collection of bulky waste per year. City crews will come to your home to haul away unwanted materials that are too large for pick up during your regular garbage collection.

Items We Collect:

Furniture
Appliances
Barbeque grills
Toilets
Water heaters
Mattresses
Fencing
Passenger Car Tires (limit of 6 per household)
Small pieces of carpeting

Items We Will NOT Collect:

Brush
Hazardous Materials (paints, household cleaners, etc)
Shingles, roofing materials
Construction/remodeling materials (bricks, sheet rock, insulation, flooring)
Soil, concrete, and rocks
Household Trash
Glass

Limitations

Please limit your bulky-item pile to eight (8) cubic yards. This is the equivalent to eight (8) washers or dryers. If your material exceeds this limit, you may be charged a fee for the additional amount. See image of 8 cu yd bulky-item pile.

Violations

Residents will be in violation with City Code, Ch.14 for the following reason(s):

Bulky pile contains brush, construction, hazardous materials, vehicle parts, or electronics
Pile is obstructed by low hanging limb or others obstacles
Pile exceeded the maximum limit of 8 cubic yards.

If your pile is in violation of City Code, you may receive a fine up to $2,000 a day, plus be billed for the collection and disposal of these items.
