Five Year Financial Forecast
The Five Year Financial Forecast is a financial planning document that is
prepared on an annual basis for the City of San Antonio. The Financial
Forecast provides a current and long-range assessment of financial conditions
and costs for City service delivery plans. The Forecast serves as the
first step in the development of the City’s Annual Budget and is presented to
City Council generally in May and in June during a City Council election year.
The primary objective of the Forecast is to provide the City Council and the
community with an “early warning system” to identify significant issues that
need to be addressed in the subsequent budget process.
