About the Center City Development Office

The mission of the Center City Development Office is to facilitate and initiate development and redevelopment of neighborhoods, businesses, and cultural resources in the Inner City Reinvestment/Infill Policy Area (ICR/IP) to foster thriving neighborhoods, including downtown, for the benefit of residents, visitors, and businesses.

The Center City Development Office (CCDO) was created in 2008 to promote development, redevelopment, and retention of commercial, retail, residential, and cultural opportunities in downtown and surrounding central City neighborhoods.

The CCDO functions consist of the following:

• Manage, facilitate, and coordinate development projects
• Initiate and execute public/private partnerships
• Review project funding and recommend incentives
• Acquire and dispose of real estate necessary for center city development and urban renewal

• Manage, facilitate, and coordinate 25 active Tax Increment Reinvestments Zones
• Initiate and designate new reinvestment zones
