City Auditor’s Message 

Welcome to the website of the Office of the San Antonio City Auditor. The San Antonio City auditor is appointed by and reports to the City Council.

My goal is to provide transparent, accurate information to the citizens, elected officials, city managers and community leaders of San Antonio. 

Our work is vital to maintaining citizens’ trust and confidence in the City’s effective, efficient, and economic deployment and use of its resources. The Office of the City Auditor champions an atmosphere of continuous improvement, integrity, honesty, accountability and mutual trust through independent appraisal of City programs, activities and functions.

Our highly professional staff demonstrates commitment to the community through active involvement in professional organizations. These include the Association of Local Government Auditors, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Institute of Internal Auditors, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association. Our commitment to excellence is further demonstrated by the many professional licenses and certifications earned by our staff.
