Applications sought for City Boards and Commissions

San Antonio residents are encouraged to get involved in their local government by serving on a City board or commission.

Applications are being sought for seats on a variety of At-Large and District boards and commissions. Citizens who wish to apply for these seats may obtain an application from the Office of the City Clerk, located on the second floor of City Hall, or on the City’s website at www.sanantonio.gov/clerk.

The City Council will nominate individuals from the applications received for positions on the following At-Large Boards:

  • ADVISORY BOARD OF HEALTH – 1 Slot, Category: Veterinarian
  • HEAD START POLICY COMMISSION – 2 Slots, Category: Higher Education (College Level)
  • BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT – 4 Slots, Category: Alternate Members
  • MUNICIPAL CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION – 3 Slots, Category: Alternate Members
  • NOISE ABATEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE – 10 Slots, Categories: (4) Aviation; (4) Neighborhood Association; (1) Chamber of Commerce; (1) Air Transportation Advisory Commission
  • RIVERWALK CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS ADVISORY COMMITTEE – 3 Slots, Categories: (2) River Bend Lessee; (1) Downtown Resident/Not a Lessee

THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS FOR SAID BOARDS IS WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28, 2007.

Applications are also being accepted for positions on the following DISTRICT Boards for terms that have expired or will expire in the near future (there is no deadline to submit applications for District Boards):
