Historic and Design Review Commission Accepting Applications

The Historic and Design Review Commission (HDRC) goal is to preserve, protect and enhance historically, culturally, architecturally, and archaeologically significant sites, structures and permits in Historic Districts as well as development along the Riverwalk. They advise the City Council on issues affecting municipally owned art, structures and landscape design.

Currently, the commission is looking for applicants for the categories of archeologist and public art. Applicants must demonstrate expertise in the selected category. For more information please call the Office of Historic Preservation at (210)207-7991.

Citizens may obtain an application by visiting and selecting “Boards and Commissions,” then selecting “application.” Applications are also available in the Office of the City Clerk located on the 2nd floor of City Hall, 100 Military Plaza.
