Keep San Antonio Beautiful receives national recognition

The City’s Solid Waste Management Department’s Keep San Antonio Beautiful program has been awarded the Keep America Beautiful President’s Circle Award. The President’s Circle Award recognizes exemplary performance made by certified affiliates of the national nonprofit to reduce litter, minimize waste, and beautify and improve their local communities.

The program, which received the award during Keep America Beautiful’s annual national conference in Washington D.C., was recognized for their work with volunteers within the community as well as the activities they conduct that focus on Keep America Beautiful’s three core focus areas of litter prevention, waste reduction and beautification/community improvement.

Established in 1980, Keep San Antonio Beautiful is a certified affiliate of Keep America Beautiful and Keep Texas Beautiful. Keep San Antonio Beautiful concentrates its efforts on educating the public about solid waste issues, litter prevention, graffiti abatement and public stewardship.
